Acupuncture

I'm an experienced member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) www.acupuncture.org.uk with clinics in Fulham and Lewes. I trained in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and 5 Element Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading and have been a therapist for over 13 years.

I mostly practice TCM but have post-graduate training with many teachers including the inspirational Japanese master, Kiko Matusmoto, pregnancy and fertility specialists Jane Lyttleton, Debra Betts and Zita West.

I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions particularly stress, sleep issues, menstrual and menopausal, headaches, injuries and pain but I have a lot of experience and post-graduate training in acupuncture for fertility and pregnancy.

I've enjoyed working at the Fulham Osteopaths for over ten years. I was a massage therapist and vision trainer here before I qualified as an acupuncturist. It is a very friendly, children and families orientated mixed practice with a well-established patient base very much at the heart of Fulham. We enjoy working together and sharing our knowledge and expertise and referring our patients to eachother when they need more than the support just one therapy can offer. Over the years I have built up a wealth of links with local yoga teachers, doulas, nutritionists, breast feeding consultants and other birth and pregnancy specialists.

In my local practice in Lewes, I work closely with osteopaths, Michaella Kullach and Simon Murray and the other therapists and practitioners at the River Clinic, Railway Lane, Lewes. We have a strong team of experienced practitioners who work within the community to provide a holistic, professional service in the centre of Lewes.

Locally, I'm one of the core members of the Acupuncture Childbirth Team or ACT Brighton and Sussex www.actbrighton.org.uk. We work individually with pregnant women during pregnancy and prepare them for labour and can be present during births. We teach acupressure to couples and birth professionals and give talks on how acupuncture and acupressure help during pregnancy and labour. ACT were recently invited to attend and talk at workshops at the Royal Sussex in Brighton on breech presentation and acupressure for pain management during labour.
