Hanna Evans Acupuncture

Fertility

" I suffer from PCOS and I had nine rounds of Clomid and IUI before coming for acupuncture. I'd only got pregnant once in all that time and I'd miscarried at 8 weeks. When I came to see, Hanna, I was about to start my tenth IUI. Amazingly it worked! The only thing I'd done differently  was to have acupuncture. I was extremely anxious about miscarrying again so I carried on seeing Hanna until my twelve week scan and then regularly until my daughter was born."  Catherine

Acupuncture is a safe and effective way to improve health prior to conception. It helps to restore hormonal balance, regulate ovulation and create better blood flow to the uterus and ovaries which aids implantation. It has been shown to reduce stress and improve sleep during potentially stressful rounds of IVF and IUI and is often used alongside conventional fertility treatments.

Treatment can begin a few weeks and months before you are thinking about starting your family or once you have begun trying and feel that you need more support. Couples can be treated together or seperately. Prior to ICSI or IVF, it is advisable to build up the beneficial effects of acupuncture such as relaxation, stress reduction and improved hormone levels at least a month in advance of your medical treatment.
