Morning Sickness

Most women come for treatment the first few weeks of pregnancy when they begin to suffer from nausea and fatigue or if they fear miscarriage.

" Seven weeks into my pregnancy I was suffering from severe migraines. I wasn't able to take my normal medication to help so I turned to acupuncture. Within just a few sessions they improved and we were then able to then work on my morning sickness and tiredness. Since then I have had regular treatments every few weeks and I really feel it's help keep me healthy during the rest of my pregnancy. I'm five months now and as I head towards my due date I will come and see, Hanna to help me prepare for the birth or anything else that comes up between now and then. " Louise

" I had severe pregnancy-related nausea and was vomiting six times a day. Coinciding with commencing acupuncture my symptoms reduced significantly. I had tried many other remedies in my last two pregnancies with little success acupuncture is the first thing that really helped me! "  Tanya

Then as pregnancy progresses, acupuncture helps patients with sciatica, swollen ankles, pubic symphysis pain, carpal tunnel syndrome or general back, neck and shoulder discomfort.

" I had a lot of groin and pelvic pain. I was surprised that the acupuncture really relaxed me and also released the pain. My birth was also more straightforward than my first and the post-natal recovery was by far quicker and more comfortable. It seemed to make everything more straightforward. I feel very grateful to Hanna. "  Carolina

" In my second trimester I had carpal tunnel syndrome which prevented me from moving my hands and feet properly and was so painful at night I couldn’t sleep. I also had so much swelling in my feet and legs that I couldn’t stand for more than twenty minutes. The only shoes I could wear were my husband's trainers! I have my own business and I needed to keep working so I was in trouble. It was then that my yoga teacher recommended acupuncture. After each session of acupuncture and massage I felt relief and with each treatment the improvement continued. I only wish I’d found it earlier..."    Antonia
