In the 3rd trimester if a scan has revealed your baby is breech Hanna teaches women how to use ’moxa’, a Chinese herb, which warms a point on the feet and stimulates the baby to turn.

In numerous research studies ‘moxibustion’ has been shown to be the most effective way to turn a baby. Best results are usually from 34-37 weeks - with the treatment becoming less effective from week 37/38 but can still work well.

In an Italian study of 260 women with breech presentations 130 women had moxibustion treatment for 7 days and another 130 women did not. 75.4% of the babies in the moxibustion group turned compared to 47.7% in the control group.
